For hundreds of years The Glebe Field has been at the heart of Storrington village life.
Our friends at Storrington Museum are researching the full history of the fields, their importance in village life (past and present) and how this lovely Green Space came into the hands of the Diocese of Chichester. It certainly wasn’t for a housing development!
We’ll be publishing and sharing Glebe Tales from our members and friends. Perhaps you were one of the many schoolchildren who walked to school through The Glebe years ago? Are you a dog walker who values the footpaths and open spaces today? Do you remember the popular, village fairs which took place on the fields? Or perhaps your life was saved when the Air Ambulance has landed there?
If you have fond memories of The Glebe then please Get In Touch.
